Thirteen Tennessee Republican senators are waving their fingers at California after the state instituted a travel ban to Tennessee as a result of Tennessee passing a law allowing counselors to deny services to gay, lesbian and transgender clients.

California no longer will be able to fund or require public employees to travel to states believed to discriminate against LGBT people under a bill Gov. Jerry Brown signed Tuesday.

GREENBELT, Md. – Hours before it was to take effect, President Donald Trump's revised travel ban was put on hold Wednesday by a federal judge in Hawaii after hearing arguments that the executive order discriminates on the basis of nationality.
The ruling came as opponents renewed their legal challenges across the country, asking judges in three states to block the executive order that targets people from six predominantly Muslim countries.

Schumer Warns of Government Shutdown Over Border wall funding? , O Goodie, Were Hear This Before?, September 18, 2013, House GOP: defund Obamacare or shut government down?
House GOP leaders announced their intention Wednesday to pass a bill this week that would only keep the government running after September 30 if President Barack Obama's health care reform law is fully defunded.
The decision sets up a high stakes game of political chicken over the next 12 days, as Democrats have repeatedly rejected any attempt to undo the president's signature legislative achievement.
"We're going to continue to do everything we can to repeal the president's failed health care law," said House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio. "The law is a train wreck."

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said Democrats will not vote for a must-pass government funding bill next month if it includes money for construction of a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border.
"That will not stand," Schumer, D-N.Y., warned Monday in a Senate floor speech. "It would be inappropriate in our judgement to insist on the inclusions of such funding in a must-pass appropriations bill that is needed by the Republican majority to avoid a government shutdown."
A short-term funding measure expires in April.n
